Meet the people of St George's

Our ages range from a few months to 90+ years, we come from a variety of interesting backgrounds and we really enjoy worshipping God together.

As well as our corporate worship, we really appreciate our fellowship and unity and we welcome you to join us at any time.  We enjoy welcoming visitors and newcomers.

Our 8am Sunday service is traditional in a reverential and reflective way.  Our 10am service is less formal yet retains reflective opportunities while including Kids’ Church which runs concurrently in the Parish Room to the right of the church.  We enjoy listening to a small, enthusiastic and capable choir and the organ and piano, with the possibility of a few other musical treats provided by talented parishioners from time to time.  The acoustics in the church are wonderful and several recordings have been made at St George’s.

After the 10am service our fellowship continues over a cup of tea of coffee in the Parish Room which works as a multi purpose venue.  We enjoy seeing what the children have been doing in their worship of the Lord as it helps decorate the room.

The parish room is also the venue of our 7pm informal time of Prayer Praise and Worship which includes a cuppa and a time for catching up with each other.

On week days we have Play Group (each Monday 10am – 12 noon), Mothers’ Union Fellowship (1st Wednesday of the month 12 noon-2.30 pm), Bible Study (1st and 3rd Wednesdays each month 7.30-9 pm, every Wednesday during Lent) and Free on Friday (2nd and 4th Fridays each month 12 noon -2 pm, every Friday during Lent - includes a simple lunch) and we delight that so many other community groups and activities are able to utilise our parish room and parish hall so that they are used practically every day of the year.

Please do consider coming and joining us for any of the above activities and for special events which are advertised from time to time.

Come and join us.  We’d love to see you here.
